Prerequisites

Prerequisites for acceptance into Newlife International School of Midwifery include the following:

• Completed Application
• High School Diploma or GED
• Letter of Recommendation from church pastor
• Letter of Recommendation from relative or close friend
• Letter of Recommendation from employer or teacher
• College Level Analytical Writing* 4 credits
• College Level Fundamental Math* 4 credits
• Anatomy and Physiology* 4 credits
• Statistics* 3 credits

*PLEASE NOTE: Applicants will NOT be denied enrollment due to their inability to meet these (*) prerequisites prior to enrollment. We are willing to discuss and explore alternative options with you.

Other optional courses which may be taken prior to enrollment:

• Applied Microbiology 3 credits
• Adult/Child and Infant CPR by the Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NRP-AAP Neonatal Resuscitation – www2.aap.org/nrp/
